NAPA, the county's largest anesthesia provider, is coming to San Antonio, TX. We have a great opportunity to work in the HCA Methodist Healthcare system.
Methodist Healthcare Metropolitan is a 378-bed facility with 12 Operating 2 L and D suites.

• SURGICAL CENTER: Our surgeons use robot-assisted technology to perform general surgeries and complex procedures. Our staff is well-versed in various complex surgeries, including neurological, orthopedic and weight loss procedures.
• EMERGENCY SERVICES: We had over 56,000 ER visits in 2021. We offer preadmission testing at our ER and at our free-standing emergency room at the Quarry in Alamo Heights.
• SUZELL WALLER WOMEN’S PAVILION: Features seven antepartum beds, 16 labor-and delivery suites, 35 postpartum rooms and 16 Level III NICU beds. We have a dedicated entrance and OB emergency department. Our building is designated as a Level III Maternal and NICU facility.

Case Assignments
Diverse case mix which includes general surgeries and complex procedures, OB, GYN, GI, IR, Neuro, Ortho, Bariatrics, with minimal trauma (Level 3). You will not be performing pediatric cases.

Requirements
Responsibilities
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
