Full Description:
A voluntary nonprofit short term acute care hospital. The emergency department treats more than 15,000 patients each year and has a trauma unit and eight treatment beds.

Case Mix: No OB, total knee and total hip replacements, knee scopes, shoulder scopes and replacements, rotator cuff repairs, sleeve gastrectomy's, spinal fusions, laminectomies, hernias, gallbladders, appendectomies, colon resections. All types of eye surgeries: including cataracts, glaucoma, retina and strabismus repairs in kids down to 10 months of age. Breast resections with reconstructions. Endoscopies, sedation for pain management procedures, also hand and wrist surgery: carpal tunnel, wrist releases arm, leg, hip, ankle fractures and podiatry cases.

Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed

M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
Currently licensed as a Physician
